The Editorial Approach
As lead editor, I shaped the film from its initial phase through to the final cut. The core narrative challenge of the feature was balancing the systemic gravity of trafficking with the tender realities of motherhood, structuring the edit to ensure the protagonist wasn’t defined solely by her activism. Alongside sculpting the main film, my early work cutting high-impact pitch trailers helped establish the tone and secured vital project backing:

The Editorial Approach
For this claustrophobic chamber piece, the edit relied heavily on micro-expressions and the weighted silences between the elderly couple. The pacing was deliberately constrained, allowing the timeworn house to act as a silent, suffocating witness to their isolation and their plea for mercy.

Working on the initial assembly, I distilled the director's raw vision into high-impact pitch trailers. The goal was to translate the film’s poetic and political core into a sharp, investor-facing narrative—work that helped secure a development grant at DMZ Docs (2017–2018).

This required an observational, deeply empathetic rhythm. Instead of relying on heavy exposition to explain the jeopardy of the tea plantation workers, the edit prioritized atmospheric sound and the repetitive, exhaustive physical motion of the labor itself to communicate their precarious reality.
