I am a Mumbai-based film editor and story consultant specializing in independent documentaries and narrative fiction. With a background in Comparative Literature and formal training in film editing from India's Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute (SRFTI), I view the cutting room as a space to unearth a film's true emotional core. For me, a film's soul often lies in its sonic architecture—the silences, the ambient breathing room, and the unspoken pauses.

Thematically, I gravitate toward character-driven impact stories that explore gender, environmental sustainability, and systemic realities. Whether cutting a grounded documentary or an abstract experimental drama, my goal is always to protect the integrity of the subject.

I approach editing as a process of quiet discovery. On Fatima, I spent two years distilling 300 hours of rushes into a cohesive narrative that won the Satyajit Ray Golden Award (2025) and currently streams on SBS Australia. My previous work also includes crafting assemblies and funding sizzles for And, Towards Happy Alleys (73rd Berlinale), and my diploma film, An Irrelevant Dialogue, became the first SRFTI project to stream on MUBI India.

Equipped for seamless remote collaboration, I step in as an active creative partner from script to final offline edit. Driven by a commitment to artisanal cinema, I am actively building a global body of work as I step into the space of independent creative producing.
